SHAIMA 'SAVAGE' IBRAHIM
The internet is a source of wonder, discovery, inspiration and cat videos but also a source of misinformation and deception. When you google Shaima Ibrahim, you will find a very real photo of a beaming, bloody-nosed Ibrahim from a 2012 fight. Her joyful expression, contrasted against the serious crimson splatter, is total Shaima. Authentic, energetic, adventuresome, optimistic. Someone who spurs themselves on, and those around them. “My friends would describe me as funny/not funny, energetic and constantly on the go. I love the hustle of everything. I love variety. I want to eat from the buffet of life and give it all a chance!”
Speaking of buffets, Shaima explains that she was extremely unhealthy in her 20’s and that combat sports and martial arts set her straight. “I was 60 lbs heavier than I am today. It took several years, and many many many pairs of tights, to get to where I am. Boxing and Muay Thai have been a big part of my self-discovery. Interestingly, boxing has been my greatest challenge in the 10 years I’ve been training and I am committed to perfecting the craft.”
Shaima brings a decade of boxing to UNDRCARD and an impeccable grasp of group fitness. She is also a spin instructor, yoga teacher and barre instructor. What keeps her… seated? “My other profession is accounting. So I’m really good at counting how many reps you have left!” In Shaima’s class you can expect major energy, a no nonsense approach, full throttle boxing, and a little r&b! Book a class with Shaima.
